Conversation Starters is an annual program at the MCA, launched in 2017, which brings together audiences of all ages to take part in real-life conversations about questions that define our global situation. Using contemporary art as a starting point, this program attempts to dig deeper into difficult issues, value intergenerational exchange and work together to make sense of it all. This years identity was based on the theme ‘Truth or Dare’ with programs based on separating fact from fiction and the issues around fake news. The typographic treatment uses ‘Truth or Dare’ as a key graphic element, the letters are split and displaced with a hero question being asked to the audience.
